Equipped with a TILT TOP pressure release hole-equipped low-profile anvil and a sharper circular knife blade, this stapler is suitable for both open and laparoscopic surgeries. To ensure proper stapling of the anastomosis, it is recommended to use two extra staples per firing.

Device preparation
• Open and Remove Staple Retaining Cap: Rotate the Adjusting Knob counterclockwise, until the Anvil Shaft is fully exposed, and remove Staple Retaining Cap.

• Remove Anvil: Pull the Anvil to remove it from Device Trocar.

• Retract Device Trocar: Keeping the Safety engaged, retract the Device Trocar by rotating the Adjusting Knob clockwise until the Device Trocar is no longer exposed.

• Check Compression Scale: Look at the Tissue Compression Scale and ensure the indicator is not in or near the green zone.

• Check Device Trocar: Verify Device Trocar is retracted and no longer exposed.

CAUTION: If the indicator is in or near the green zone when the Device Trocar is retracted, releasing the Safety is possible which could lead to unintended activation of the Firing Trigger, resulting in knife exposure and premature staple deployment.

Anvil and device placement
• Place Anvil: Insert Anvil into Lumen.

• Secure Anvil: Secure the purse string onto the anvil shaft above the tying Notch.

• Position Device: With the device trocar retracted, insert the device up to closed Lumen.

• Device Trocar Penetration: Fully extend the device trocar and pierce tissue by holding the device while gently rotating the adjusting knob counterclockwise.

• Extend Device Trocar: Once penetrated, fully extend the device trocar until the orange band is visible.

• Attach Anvil: If using an anvil grasper or similar instrument, grip the anvil shaft, be careful not to clamp on locking
springs. Slide the anvil shaft over the trocar until the anvil snaps into a fully seated position.

• Close Device: Close by turning Adjusting Knob clockwise until Orange Indicator enters the green range on the Tissue Compression Scale, keeping anastomotic segments in proper orientation to prevent twisting of tissue.
